-
seek shared responsibility and cooperation from customers in reducing the environmental impact of their products; and
-
comply with all the applicable laws in India required for to e-waste management.
ECS partners with Sophos to support the safe disposal of hazardous electronic waste.
As an environmental initiative, Sophos has authorized India e-waste company, ECS Private Limited (ECS), to collect, dismantle, and safely dispose of e-waste, including recycling. Collection occurs across India. Dismantle, disposal, and recycling occur product-by-product. ECS views e-waste as an important resource that can be made useful again through recycling and repurposing raw materials and components.
In India, ECS e-Waste Drop-Off Centres ensure environmentally sound processing of electronic products that have reached their end-of-life. ECS has obtained all the necessary authorizations from appropriate governmental agencies to support their processing facilities. Further, ECS ensures proper management of e-waste. This helps Sophos protect the environment from the consequences of e-waste disposal.
